This work explores the dislocation and discovery of sonic and physical identity and space. It relies on gestural control via computer vision and audio analysis to trigger, shape, and direct the computer’s responses. The work is in five movements without pause: I - Invocation and Genesis; II - Construction and Exposition; III – Dance; IV - Reflection and Resistance; and V - Transcendence. Though formally delineated by these sections, the piece evolves organically, tightly integrating the music technology and human elements, blurring the lines of musical agency and identity, and democratizing the roles of the acoustic and electroacoustic constituents.
