Arrest (2018), a work for Exo/Rosie. Exo/Rosie is a wearable, analog-digital instrument/persona I created that uses body-to-body connections, such as wrist to wrist, to vary analog audio and digital control output. These closed, covered gestures reflect the carceral state and limited agency around music technology today. Arrest explores the complete body – choreographically, expressively, and socially – as a crucial musical affordance.
